There’s something magical about that first crisp fall morning, the kind that makes you want to grab a blanket, light a candle, and fully embrace cozy season.🍂
One of my favorite ways to welcome autumn into our home is by transitioning our bedding. It’s such a simple swap that instantly makes the bedroom feel warm and inviting.
The best part? You don’t need to buy all new bedding to make your space feel seasonal. A few intentional changes go a long way. Here’s how I do it:
1. Layer Up
Fall is all about layering. I like to start with our usual sheets, then add a quilt or coverlet for warmth. A chunky knit throw at the foot of the bed makes the whole room feel cozier (and is perfect for chilly mornings).
2. Swap Colors & Textures
Lighter summer tones look fresh and airy, but for fall, I lean into warm neutrals, deep greens, and soft terracottas. Even just swapping pillow covers for something with texture like linen, velvet, or cable-knit makes a huge difference.
3. Add Cozy Accents
Sometimes it’s the smallest touches that set the tone. I love adding a seasonal candle on the nightstand, a cozy basket of blankets, or even a few fall stems in a vase to tie everything together.
By making these simple swaps, your bedroom feels ready for fall without a complete overhaul. It’s a cozy refresh you’ll look forward to every year!
